Liberty Denied Over Ticket

William Barboza has first hand experience that a speeding ticket can result in the loss of one's liberty.  Mr. Barboza was accused of violating the New York State Vehicle Traffic Law for which he pleaded guilty and paid a fine.  


In his payment to the court, the wrote the word "Tyranny" and an expletive.  The court Ordered him to appear and explain his actions.  He was subsequently arrested and charged with the class A misdemeanor of Aggravated Harassment.  Ultimately, the charges were dismissed and now he has hire a civil rights law firm to prosecute his civil rights claim.
