Yonkers City Police Apprehend Suspected Criminal

On November 28, 2011, Yonkers Police helped apprehend a man accused of burglary.  Burglary is basically the act of breaking and entering a home with the intent to steal someone else’s property.
A homeowner called 911 stating that he heard a loud crash at the back of his house.  Upon inspection, a man dressed in black was found trying to enter the basement.  The suspect fled the scene.
The man arrested is charged with attempted burglary 2nd degree which is a Class D felony.
The accused is being held in the Westchester County Jail located in Valhalla. His charges are currently pending in the local court of Greenburgh.
