Hancock contains both a Town and Village Court. A large number of moving violations are
issued for speeding under both VTL 1180(b) and VTL 1180(d). Our traffic ticket defense lawyers have been representing client's in Hancock for many years.
The vast majority of tickets are issued along the Route 17 corridor. Route 17 is a major thoroughfare for students going to and from college as well as parents en route to their children’s summer camp. Recently, Route 17 has been the site of many construction projects. We have noticed that many drivers have been issued speeding tickets under VTL 1180(F). These tickets carry enhanced penalties and have been traditionally very difficult to defend.
