Former Yonkers City Council Member Found Guilty

Long time member of the Yonkers City Council Sandy Annabi was found guilty by a Federal jury in Manhattan for charges stemming from a bribery investigation.  Ms. Annabi faces up to 15 years in jail for her corruption and betrayal of public trust.

The trial revealed that Ms. Annabi changed her vote on the Ridge Hill mega project after she received more than $170,000.00 in cash and gifts.

Her cousin and former Yonkers Republican Party Chairman Zehy Jereis was also convicted at trial.  The Ratner construction company was not charged with any wrong doing.
