Recently, the on-going prosecution and investigation of the NYPD ticket fixing scandal yielded a grand jury indictment for the 17 police officers targeted. Essentially, the indictment paves the way for prosecutors to proceed with felony charges.The scandal first broke almost two years ago with a tip about a rogue cop dealing drugs in the Bronx. From there, the investigation also gave way to the ticket fixing scandal.
These officers are expected to be suspended and appear for a felony arraignment.
